A rather unique and large bronze bowl by the renowned sculptor Erté (Romain de Tirtoff, Russian/French 1892-1990). The bowl is shaped as a bosom and is designed with stylized faces. The bronze is finely patinated in copper, red and brown with gilt highlights throughout. The bowl turns easily on a swivel base. With incised signature Erte , dated 1985, numbered 57/275, and stamp of the publisher (Con Ker) and foundry mark for Joel Meisner & Co.
Condition: Excellent original condition with minimal wear.
Measurements: Approximately 10 1/2 in diameter x 9 in high. A heavy bronze at 25 lb.
