This listing is for a pretty Sterling Silver overlay Art Glass vase, c. 1890-1910. The vase has an applied layer of Sterling Silver overlaid on a dark green glass body. Although we did not find a Sterling stamp on this vase, we do guarantee that this vase to be Sterling Silver overlay. We believe the silver overlay was done by Gorham, Alvin or one of the other prominent silver companies operating in the U.S. at the turn-of-the-century. Loetz in Austria was also known for his silver overlay pieces although much of his work had the silver applied over iridescent glass and often the silver overlay was done by these same U.S. companies.
Dimensions: 4 1/2" high with a 2 5/8" diameter top and 2 1/2" diameter base. Weighs 4 ounces.
Condition: Both the glass body of the vase and the silver overlay are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
