This listing is for a gorgeous example of Loetz VESUVIAN Creta Glatt (green) iridescent Art Glass from the Art Nouveau Period, c. 1901. The vase has a beautiful deep green iridescent glass corset shaped body with applied bronze glass tendrils or tadpoles surrounding the body. Vase is unmarked as is most Loetz glass but is guaranteed to be as described.
Dimensions: 6" high with a 4 1/2" top diameter and a base diameter of 4 1/4". Weighs 1.8 pounds.
Condition: The vase has a beautiful appearance, however, there is a small production bubble near one of the tadpoles that has caused a faint internal hairline out from the bubble on the interior of the vase. There is also a small scratch on the outside of the vase about a half inch from the upper edge and minor no-harm rubbing to the bronze iridescent finish on two of the tadpoles.
