This listing is for a gorgeous fully gilt reticulated Sterling Silver basket made by Tiffany & Co., c. 1902-1907. The basket features intricately embossed large flower bouquets on each lower end of basket and four smaller bouquets, two on each side at high points of scalloped upper edge. The body of the basket has beautifully reticulated sides and sits on an oval stepped base. Basket has a tall handle with curved design where it attaches to basket. The entire body on both the inside and outside of the basket is gilded and there is a fancy 3-letter monogram in the center of the interior base "A B P". Silver is marked with the Tiffany stamp that dates the piece to 1902-1907 while under the directorship of Charles T. Cook. Marked "Tiffany & Co., 16388A Makers 2228, Sterling Silver, 925-1000, c".
Dimensions: 8 1/4" high (to top of handle), 3 1/4" high (at highest point on side), 9 1/4" long and 5 1/4" deep. Weighs 385 grams.
Condition: The silver body is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage. The gilding is bright over the entire basket except for the flat interior base where there is wear to the gilding around the monogram. Basket may also reflect minor signs of normal wear but is considered to be in very good to excellent overall condition.
