This listing is for a stunning green overlay rock crystal finger bowl and under plate made by one of the best glass houses in America, c. 1900. The engraved decoration covers the entire body of both the bowl and plate with only the design and center base being colorless. The colorless blown glass body is cased in rich emerald green overlay with the design stone engraved to the clear glass below. This type glass was produced by Hawkes, Steuben and Dorflinger and was generally unsigned. The color and engraving of this set is among the most beautiful I have seen in the past 35 years of handling fine cut and engraved glass.
Dimensions: Bowl measures 2 1/2" high and 5 3/8" in diameter at the top. Plate measures 7/8" high and 6 1/8" in diameter. Combined weight is 1.6 pounds. Combined weight is 1.7 pounds.
Condition: Both pieces of this gorgeous set is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minimal, if any, signs of wear.
