This listing is for an unusual pair of 19th Century French dore bronze candlesticks with an Egyptian Revival design, c. 1850-1880. These fabulous candlesticks have a nice dore (gilded) finish in a design depicting an Egyptian female in a stately pose with the candle holder with removable bobeche above her head.
Dimensions: 8 3/4" high, 3" wide at base (measured from flat side to flat side) with the top measuring 1 3/4" in diameter and the candle opening that will hold a 7/8" candle. Combined weight is 2.9 pounds.
Condition: Both candlesticks are in very good to excellent Estate condition with no damage to the metal although the gilding does reflect minimal wear from cleaning and handling during normal use.
