This listing is for a beautiful 19th Century MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) Japanese SATSUMA porcelain enamel decorated bowl with warrior, c. 1880. This high quality SATSUMA bowl is beautifully painted with polychrome enamels and gilding. The interior is decorated with fine intricate details featuring a warrior. The bowl has beautiful coloration and gilt accents throughout, a gilded upper rim with wide scalloped edge and gilded design on exterior.
Dimensions: 2 1/2" high and 5 1/2" in diameter.
Condition: The bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs although it does have minor crazing throughout.
