This listing is for a lovely 19th Century French Limoges enamel on copper small slender vase decorated with colorful foliage and berry design. The leaves are in shades of green and the berries are a deep blue which contrasts beautifully with the peach colored enamel background. The neck of the vase has a wine color and is signed in this area "J. Salandie, Limoges".
Dimensions: 5 1/2" high with a 7/8" diameter top and a 1 1/2" diameter base. Weighs 2.3 ounces.
Condition: The vase makes a beautiful cabinet piece with no noticeable flaws, however, upon closer inspection there are a few minor internal cracks in the enamel around the bottom edge that are not felt on the surface. There are also a couple of small areas in the leaves that have some missing enamel or minor rough edges that are barely noticed. Even with these minor flaws, this piece is gorgeous and displays nicely.
