This listing is for an adorable pair of early Staffordshire pottery Spaniel figurines, c. 1880. These nice spaniels are a matched pair with left-facing and right-facing dogs. They have lots of personality with a black painted muzzle outlined with copper luster and golden-yellow eyes, a molded collar with locket and chain. Vent hole in base.
Dimensions: 6 1/2" high, 4 1/2" wide and 3 3/8" deep. Combined weight is 2.4 pounds.
Condition: Both dogs are in very good Estate condition with one dog having a faint chip with faint crack on edge of base with only a small part of chip showing on the exterior (hardly noticeable when sitting upright) and another small no-harm chip on edge of base otherwise reflecting only minor signs of normal wear. Dogs are free of repairs with normal wear to the gilding and with very faint crazing.
