This nice FAVRILE gold iridescent Art Glass finger bowl and under plate were made by L. C. Tiffany , c. 1910. This set has vibrant gold iridescence with highlights of purple, blue and green. Bowl is signed "L C T Favrile" and plate is signed "L C T" with ground pontil on both. Bowl has scalloped rim with ribs on the exterior extending from rounded shoulder to base. Plate has a smooth rimmed edge with low foot ring. Favrile glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's Aurene glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th Century.
Dimensions: Plate measures 1" high and 5 7/8" in diameter. Bowl measures 2 1/2" high with a top diameter of 4 1/2" and base diameter of 2 1/4".
Condition: Both pieces are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting minimal signs of normal wear.
