This listing is for a large 19th Century German sulphide marble with standing cow figure inside. Glass fluoresces under black light and has bottom pontil. Although these marbles were made as children's toys in the late 19th Century, today the larger ones are becoming harder to find especially those in exceptional condition with the sulphide marbles commanding very high prices. My husband has been collecting marbles for the past 40 years and has finally agreed to let some of them go. This is a nice one.
Dimensions: 1 3/4" in diameter. Weighs 4.6 ounces.
Condition: The marble is in excellent Estate condition with one faint surface bruise and minimal signs of normal wear.
