"Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
Dimensions: 1 1/2" high and 2 1/8" in diameter. Weighs 2 ounces.
Condition: This nice salt cellar has striking blue iridescent coloration and the body is in excellent Estate condition, however, one foot has a faint nick on the inside. The salt does sit level and as a cabinet piece, this small flaw is not visible.
