This early 19th Century hand-made treen (wood) table clamp is definitely a one-of-a-kind. The clamp has an ornately carved cow bone decorative top with a pincushion on the end. The wood has its original patina and the carved bone has exceptional details. The clamp has a hand-turned wooden screw for attaching to a ladies sewing or work table. The pincushion top is covered with brocade fabric that appears to be original to the clamp.
Dimensions: 8" high (as shown) and 2 1/2" wide (at clamp). The carved bone handle measures 3 1/4" high (to top of pincushion) and 1 1/2" at widest area.
Condition: Item is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws to the clamp or the carved top other than the fabric on the pincushion reflects expected wear.
