This listing is for a fine antique Meiji Period Japanese Satsuma porcelain gilt and enameled vase, c. 1868-1912. The vase is hand painted with colorful polychrome enamels in a scenic design with a pair of pheasants, gorgeous flowers and bamboo trees in the background. The design is embellished with elaborate gilt accents.
Dimensions: 7" high with an overall width of 3 1/2", a top diameter of 1 5/8" and a base diameter of 2 1/4". Weighs 13 ounces.
Condition: This lovely vase is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The enameling and gilding are bright with no rubbing or other signs of wear.
