This listing is for a beautiful Tiffany FAVRILE gold iridescent Art Glass ruffled edge bowl, c. 1900. The bowl has a golden Favrile interior with silver highlight and has vivid blue highlights when looking into the interior. The exterior has a ribbed design with purple, blue and bronze highlights and a vivid blue foot ring. Marked "L. C. T.". "Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
Dimensions: 2 1/4" high, 6 7/8" in diameter (at top) and 4 3/8" diameter (at base). Weighs 1.2 pounds.
Condition: This nice bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear.
