This listing is for a very unusual 19th Centurymuseum quality French Vernis Martin vitrine sedan chair shaped cabinet for display of a ladies gold pocket watch, c. 1850-1890. The cabinet is not only a pocket watch holder, it has a working music box in the base. The front and sides panels are decorated with hand painted enameled flowers and cherubs and have beveled glass window inserts. The silk lined interior has a hook on the back panel for hanging a cherished pocket watch.
Dimension: 6 7/8" high, 3 1/2" wide and 4" deep.
Condition: Item is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage or repairs. The wind-up musical mechanism in the base is in working order and plays well, however, we do not recognize the music being played.
