This listing is for a beautiful pair of Thomas Webb English PEACH BLOW cased Art Glass vases with hand gilt decoration by Jules Barbe, c. 1880-1900. The vases have rich coloration in the glass shading from deep rose to pale pink with a glossy finish cased over an opaque white glass interior. The vases are beautifully embellished with hand applied all-over gold floral and leaf decoration with gilded upper rim. This type decoration was done for Webb by Jules Barbe and is highly collected.
One vase is marked on base with numbers "519/5, R 500, 1." and the other is marked "519/5, R 500, 2.".
Dimensions: 8 3/4" high with a maximum width of 3 3/4", a top diameter of 1 3/8" and base diameter of 2 7/8". Combined weight is 1.8 pounds
Condition: Both vases are in excellent Estate condition with no chips or cracks. One has a tiny black speck on the side that occurred in production during the firing process (see photos).
