This beautiful Steuben melon shaped perfume bottle is made of Carder's Verre de Soie Art Glass and has its original Green Jade glass flame shaped stopper, Steuben shape #1455. Verre de Soie glass features a white opaque iridescent body with a satin (acid) finish. The perfume bottle base has an 8-lobed melon shaped body with the stopper having a flame shape and is made of Carder's Green Jade glass. This lovely glass was created by Frederick Carder for Steuben Glass in Corning, N.Y., c. 1925-1933 with the name "Verre de Soie" meaning glass of silk.
Dimensions: 4 3/4" high (with stopper in place), 2 5/8" high (without stopper, 1 1/4" wide at top and almost 3" overall width. Weighs 5.8 ounces.
Condition: This lovely perfume/scent bottle is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
