This listing is for a lovely Carder Era Steuben Gold Ruby Art Glass fan shaped vase, style #6287. The fan shaped top of the vase has a diamond optic design in the beautiful Gold Ruby glass created by Frederick Carder for Steuben Glass in Corning, N.Y. during the 1920's. Although called Gold Ruby glass, the glass has a gorgeous cranberry color top and a colorless stem and foot/base. The vase is pictured on page 70 of the book "The Glass of Frederick Carder" by Paul V. Gardner. Items produced during the Frederick Carder era at Steuben Glass Works are all highly desired and are included in all the major American Art Glass collections. You won't be disappointed with this lovely example of Carder's glass!
Dimensions: 8 1/2" high, 7" wide and 1" deep (at top) with the round base measuring 3 1/4" in diameter. Weighs 1 pound.
Condition: This stunning vase is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are two small internal bubble production flaws with one being in the top knob of the stem and the other on the flat part of the base.
