This amazing Sterling Silver large salad fork and spoon set was made by Gorham in the hard-to-find MYTHOLOGIQUE pattern issued in 1894. The Mythologique pattern was a multi-motif pattern that included 24 different designs and was created by Atone Heller. The design on this set features an elaborately embossed handle with a standing female (probably a goddess) with decoration that extends down the entire handle to end with a large shell design on the bowl of both the fork and spoon. The back of the handle is also nicely decorated. No monograms. Marked on back of handle with the Gorham trademark stamp and "Sterling, Copyrighted". This stamp was used from 1895-1900.
