This nice patinated bronze sculpture titled THE STONEMASON by Austrian sculptor Ferdinand Lugerth (1885-1915) features a stonemason at work with his hammer raised for breaking the large stone at his feet. The sculpture is nicely detailed with great original patina. Bronze is correctly signed F. LUGERTH / FEC. with Foundry Stamp "AR" for AUST-REICH, WIEN. Base is dark green marble with white veins. This is a great early 20th century original bronze that would be a wonderful addition to any man's study or office and a great gift for that hard-to-please significant other.

Dimensions: 11" high, 5 3/8" wide and 3" deep (at base). Weighs 4.10 pounds.

Condition: Bronze is in excellent Estate condition with no damage or repairs to the sculpture or base. There are some minor no-harm nicks around the bottom of the marble base from normal wear.

Item ID: RL-2741
