This listing is for a heavy Sterling Silver punch ladle in a variation of the Kings pattern made by Alexander Murray & Co. in 1850.
The pattern features an embossed shell and scallop design with fancy engraved monogram "M" within the design. Marked with the hallmark stamp for Edinburgh, Scotland, Sterling with date letter for 1850 and maker's stamp for Alexander Murray & Co.
Dimensions: 12 3/4" long with the bowl being 4 1/8" wide. Weighs 220 grams.
Condition: This nice ladle is in excellent Estate condition reflecting only minor signs of normal wear commensurate with age. There is one faint tiny ding inside bowl and a small spot on the rim of the bowl that is slightly rough to the touch otherwise no other noted flaws. These two mentioned areas are called for accuracy but do not affect the beauty of this lovely ladle.
