This listing is for a lovely 19th Century French trinket or jewelry box with thick clear beveled glass top and enamel decorated opaque glass body. The box is white on the inside with a creamy color exterior that is hand painted with a floral decoration that extends three-fourth the way around the perimeter of the base. The box has a gilt brass narrow band around the top and bottom and sits on four small round ball feet.
Dimensions: 2 3/8" high and 2 7/8" in diameter. Weighs 7.7 ounces.
Condition: This nice trinket box is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws other than fading to the enamel design on the back side and wear to the gilt finish from normal age and handling. The hinge is tight and the box opens and closes correctly.
