Gold filled bracelet with six Pietra Dura (inlaid marble mosaic)plaque medallions each featuring a single flower of colorful contrasting stones. Medallions are mounted within a gold filled bezel and are attached together to form the bracelet with two lengths of chains on each side. Pietra Dura was made in Florence, Italy during the Grand Tour era (1840-1860) and were used to decorate jewelry, boxes and even furniture pieces. This process was hand made and expensive to produce with each creation being a one-of-a-kind item.
Dimensions: 7" long with each medallion measuring 1 3/8" long and 1" wide. Total weight is 50 grams.
Condition: Very good to excellent Estate condition. First medallion from clasp has a tiny inlaid section of the stem missing and the next medallion also has a section of the stem missing. The gold filled mountings have naturally aged patina and reflect minimal signs of normal wear.
