This listing is for a nice 19th Century miniature bronze sculpture by French Animalier sculptor Jules Moigniez (1835-1894).
This attractive sculpture has all the features of its larger counterparts with nice details in the bronze and signed on lower side. The bronze is of two different breed dogs on a rocky outcrop on the scent of a smaller animal. Bronze is mounted on a black marble stand. Bronze was purchased by the previous owner at a 1989 Christie's New York auction with the auction tag kept and taped on the base.
Dimensions: 3 3/4" high with the oval base measuring 5" long and 2 1/2" wide. Weighs 1.8 pounds.
Condition: This attractive bronze is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws or repairs.
