This listing is for a beautiful Tiffany Favrile gold iridescent Art Glass miniature cabinet vase or toothpick holder, c. 1900. This item has vibrant gold iridescence with highlights of silver and blue and has punched sides. Although unmarked, we are certain the piece is Tiffany Favrile glass. "Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th Century. Arthur Nash is credited for much of the striking and desirable work produced by Tiffany.
Dimensions: 2 1/4" high with the top opening being 1 7/8" in diameter.
Condition: The toothpick holder is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There is a tiny no-harm production black speck on the bottom.
