This listing is for a set of four (4) Meissen hand painted fruit plates with reticulated border and gilded accents. These plates are decorated with assorted fruit combinations in the center with butterflies and insects in the design. Each plate's border is pierced or reticulated with gilt accents with the pierced design alternating with three fruit and floral decorated medallions. The outside edge is scalloped which gives the pierced design the effect of being woven. Plates are marked with the blue under glaze crossed swords mark, first quality and the plates date to the late 19th or early 20th Century.
Dimensions: 9" in diameter. Combined weight of 3.3 pounds.
Condition: Each plate is in excellent Estate quality with no noted flaws and reflecting minimal signs of any wear. The enamel colors and gilding are vibrant and clean and the details in the design are amazing.
