This listing is for a lovely L. C. Tiffany FAVRILE gold iridescent Art Glass salt cellar, c. 1900. This nice salt cellar has a free-form scalloped upper edge with highlights of purple. Marked with etched signature "L. C. T." on base. This salt cellar is pictured on page 22, Illustration #42 of the book The Open Salt Compendium" by Sandra Jzyk & Nina Robertson. "Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
Dimensions: 1 1/8" high and 2 7/8" in diameter. Weighs 2.9 ounces.
Condition: This salt cellar is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
