This gorgeous Tiffany Favrile gold iridescent Art Glass wavy edged dish has candlestick shaped interior well and is signed and numbered, c. early 1900's. The glass has vibrant gold iridescent coloration with strong blue highlights. The dish has a short pedestal base and deep center well in the center of dish that would hold a candle, if desired. Base is marked with etched signature "L. C. T., Favrile, #2039G".
Dimensions: 1 1/2" high and 4 7/8" in diameter with 1" center opening. Weighs 6.2 ounces.
Condition: Glass is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear.
"Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
