This listing is for a nice Tiffany FAVRILE gold iridescent Art Glass low bowl/dish with "pigtails", c. early 1900's. The vibrant gold iridescent coloration is stunning with highlights of purple and blue on the upper rim and exterior. The dish is further embellished with pulled "pigtails" which is considered a SCARCE design feature. Marked with etched signature "L. C. T".
Favrile glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's Aurene glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century
Dimensions: 1 1/8" high and 5 3/4" in diameter. Weighs 9 ounces.
Condition: Bowl is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear.
