This listing is for an unusual cast Spelter metal inkwell with bronze finish in the shape of a Bedouin camel with decorated saddle blanket and saddle, c. 1900. The top of the saddle acts as the inkwell's lid which operates with a hinge and lid opens and closes correctly. Unfortunately, the glass inkwell is missing, however, replacements can be readily found.
Dimensions: 5 1/2" high, 8 1/2" long and 4" wide. Weighs just over 3 pounds.
Condition: The inkwell is in very good Estate condition with no noted flaws. The bronzed finish does reflect rubbing on the high points of the design and there is very little of any paint remaining. As stated above, the glass insert is missing otherwise the inkwell is in overall very good condition.
