This beautiful CORALENE decorated satin glass vase was made by the Mt. Washington Glass Company, c. 1880-1900. The vase has a rare color combination of pink and yellow glass in alternating sections at top shading to clear with white glass interior. Top of vase is decorated with a crimped or ruffled edge. Vase is hand made and has a polished pontil. The beaded decoration on the vase is an unusual yellow color and the "seaweed" design covers the entire body. This stunning vase is an excellent example of a this desireable Victorian Art Glass. Coraline is a style of decoration where glass beads are applied to the surface, then the piece is reheated to fuse the beads to the surface.
Dimensions: 8 5/8" high with a top opening of 3 7/8", maximum width is 4 3/4" and base diameter is 2 3/4".
Condition: The Coralene beading is in excellent condition with only a very minor amount of beading loss that is only noticed under very close inspection (see photos). The vase itself is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
