This listing is for a lovely Tiffany Favrile gold iridescent Art Glass salt cellar, c. 1900. This nice salt cellar has a gracefully scalloped upper edge and ribbed design with highlights of silvery-blue and bronze iridescence. Marked with etched signature "L. C. T." on base. This salt cellar is pictured on page 22, Illustration #42 of the book The Open Salt Compendium" by Sandra Jzyk & Nina Robertson. "Favrile" glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894 and along with Frederick Carder's "Aurene" glass made for Steuben, this glass set the highest standard for iridescent glass at the turn of the 20th century.
Dimensions: 1 1/4" high and 2 7/8" in diameter. Weighs 3 ounces.
Condition: This salt cellar is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
