This listing is for a lovely Royal Copenhagen BLUE FLUTED pierced edge 10" plate, #1098, c. 1955. This unusual plate has a 1 1/2" pierced/reticulated border with scalloped outer edge and Blue Fluted pattern center. Marked with the Royal Copenhagen trademark stamp with 3-wave lines below and is marked "1/1098 FMX" for the color, pattern number and artist. The mark dates the plate to 1955. This lovely pattern was designed by Arnold Krog and was introduced in 1775, the same year Royal Copenhagen was founded in Denmark. This pattern is referred to as "Service No. 1" at Royal Copenhagen and has been in continuous production for more than 230 years.
Dimensions: 10" in diameter and is 1 1/2" high (at outer edge). Weighs 1.8 pounds.
Condition: This nice plate is a first quality production piece and is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
