This listing is for a stunning pair of tall green engraved cut glass candlesticks made by Pairpoint in the GARLAND pattern.
These nice candlesticks feature a panel cut top section that holds the candle above an elongated body decorated with engraved flowers and cut foliage. On the lower stem are four vertical panels of circle engravings and on the bottom of each candlestick is a large engraved multi-petal flower. The glass fluoresces nicely under black light with typical Vaseline glass fluorescence. The Pairpoint Mfg. Co was established in 1880 in New Bedford MA. The company owned land adjacent to the famed Mt. Washington Glass Co. and the two famous companies merged in 1894 to become the Pairpoint Corp. and were very successful for more than 40 years. The company has changed ownership and names over the years but still operates today under the Gundersen-Pairpoint name.
