This listing is for a unique cut crystal decanter/bottle with elaborate Dutch silver cased decoration, c. 1890. Although we were unable to find the tiny Dutch silver hallmark stamp, it is our opinion that this decanter is Dutch and the silver content is .830 silver. The decanter has an embossed silver applied band encircling the lower section of the bottle with a pierced silver decorative band embossed with figures around the mouth of the bottle. The stopper is also decorated with silver cased decoration and has a figure sitting in a sailboat mounted on top. The glass body of the decanter is high quality lead crystal with a panel cut design widest at the bottom (above the silver decorated base) and narrows as it reaches the diamond cut knob at the center and then is panel cut on the slender neck
Dimensions: 7 1/4" high (to top of bottle), 10 1/2" high (to top of stopper), has a 1 3/8" diameter top, a 3" diameter base and measures about 4 1/2" at widest. Weighs 1.6 pounds.
Condition: The glass body and stopper are in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The silver is also in excellent condition with no noted flaws.
