Sensational 1940s structured hat in a bonnet revival style
Hat Size: at perches on top of the head so fits most. Outside Diameter: 11" (28 cm); Height of Crown 2” (5 cm); Width of Brim in front: 3.5" (9 cm)
Condition: Hat is in very good shape. One tear in netting.

One of a Kind - Get it before it's gone.
Distinctive bonnet-style hat. Top is made of melusine, a shiny long pile felt that looks and feels like fur. Black felt interior and trim. Long felt cord strap that can be adjusted. Dotted black netting attaches to the top third of the cord. Wide brim that comes to a point in the front. No brim in back.
The New York Creations label used by members of the the New York Dress Institute in the 1940s. The NY Dress Institute was a joint venture between the clothing manufacturers of New York City and the ILGWU. Crowley & Milner was once the major department story in Detroit, Michigan.
