Jacques Heim was a prominent French fashion and costume designer. He was also known for his furs. From 1930 to his death in 1967, he ran House of Jacques Heim. The company closed in 1969. Heim's Jeunes Filles collection for younger women was introduced in 1936. He was way ahead of his time when in 1932, he introduced one of the first versions of the two piece swimsuit, a design he called the Atome.
