Beautiful French Antique Winter Garden Folding Chair,

Straw filled head rest with beautiful fabric over a wooden frame, copper nails tacking it on, from the late 1800s and definitely adorned a French Aristocrats Winter Jardin.

This stunning piece of French history was bought in the Parisian Market of St Ouen, it was displayed in the shop with fabrics draped over it and looked simply stunning, it wasn't for sale as it was being used for displaying other sale items, I couldn't stop thinking about it, the next morning with Grande Crème in hand managed to convince the vendor to part with it.

I am ecstatic to be able to add it to my inventory, this would only be for display as it would no longer have the strength to be sat on.

The origin of the winter garden dates back to the 17th to 19th centuries where European nobility would construct large conservatories that would house tropical and subtropical plants and would act as an extension of their living space. Many of these would be attached to their main palaces.
