This wonderful hanging basket features beautiful white dogwood blossoms on brown branches, over a green textured background. The inside of the basket has a blue ink stamp “R”, which was a Roseville mark in use from 1910 to 1928. This lovely example, from 1926, has no visible cracks, or chips. There are no signs of alterations or repairs. The original chain for hanging the basket is missing. However, the basket does sit flat on a table, and therefore can be used as a vase or jardiniere. There is some crazing to the glaze and minor wear to the bottom, consistent with age and use (see photos). These minor imperfections do not detract from the overall beauty of this delightful piece.
What a great decorative object for your home!
Dimensions: This hanging basket is 4” tall by 8 1/2” in diameter. The opening is 6 1/8” in diameter.
