Cameos can be traced back to ancient Greece. During the Renaissance, shells were first used in carving cameos. Prior to the 15th century, cameos were typically carved from hard-stone. This lovely ring in the victorian style, features a wonderful hand carved stone of a young lady pouring water from an ewer into a vessel. The stone is set in a beautiful 14k rose gold setting. This is a perfect pinky ring, or of course the ring can be sized by your jeweler.
The hard-stone cameo is in very good condition. The ring has been previously sized and the sizing line is clearly visible. Overall wear is consistent with age and use (see photos). The ring is not stamped, it does test for 14k gold. Your jewelry purchase will arrive securely packaged in a beautiful gift box.
