This outstanding sterling silver porringer by Black Starr & Frost of New York is monogrammed on the bottom with a date of March 7, 1901. In addition to using this to feed the baby, this porringer could be used as a nut or candy dish, or even as a wine coaster.
The porringer is marked Black Starr & Frost New York, Sterling, 250, and the eagle mark. In addition to the date monogram on the bottom, the initials “ADT” are monogrammed on the side. There are no signs of removals, repairs, or alterations. This porringer is in great antique condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use.
