A beautiful, fine quality, vintage locket necklace.
The locket case is gold filled and in a very unusual shape. It has been engraved 1924 to one side and has an unusual monogram, AWS, to the other side. It is hinged to the base with an articulated fitting to top.
From this, the locket is attached to its original long black grosgrain ribbon necklace, in fine condition and with an engraved gold filled fitting. Very Victorian/Edwardian in style; ideal for a period of mourning. Often these ribbons have perished or are in poor condition.
The locket is empty aside from 2 frames. Here 2 precious photos could be placed.
Locket closes with a secure click.
Measurements: locket (including articulated top fitting) is 3.6cm by 1.7cm.
The grosgrain ribbon is 31" long and 0.25" in width.
