A stunning, late Victorian solid 9ct gold crescent moon brooch.
Fully hallmarked 375 Birmingham 1896 with makers mark TA&Co (believed to be Thomas Acott & Co, of Vyse St).
Beautiful craftsmanship with chased Scottish thistles and flowers (in rose gold) and elaborate trim top and bottom.
Tube hinge, silver metal pin and 'c' catch to reverse. There are also 2 links with a very small amount of chain link on them, suggesting a dangling chain was suspended from them at one time.
Measurements: 2" by 1.1" (at widest points).
In good antique condition; please view all the photographs for clear detail.
Box shown is for display ONLY and is NOT included in the sale.
Victorian crescent jewellery is very collectable and this has the particularly appealing Scottish theme too.
