A fabulous late Victorian Scottish souvenir locket, complete with all 5 original pictures.
The rolled gold locket case is circular in shape with a chased belt buckle design to back and forget me not flower to centre. It is a nice rose gold colour. Mounted within the front is an image of Pulpit Rock.
The 2 inner frames slide out (to left and right), both holding 2 images to each side, all various scenes from Loch Lomond. See photos for clear detail of the images included.
I have seen a number of these souvenir lockets over the years, typically all the original images are missing. It is also particularly nice to have a 19th century piece commemorating Scotland, the country that Queen Victorian held a great affection for.
Base metal jump ring for wear on a chain.
Measurements: 35mm by 25mm (including jump ring).
In good antique condition; minor wear to rolled gold & tarnish to inner frames, all commensurate with age & use.
