LAST CHANCE TO BUY!
A beautiful antique Victorian silver locket, circa 1900.
No marks but has been tested.
The locket is a good size, 2" by 1 1/8" (including bail) with a depth of 2/8".
The design is exactly the same front and back, with an oval vacant cartouche to centre and darkened sunken background with a repeated repoussé design and scalloped border; really quite intricate. Another example of the skill/artistry of the Victorian silversmith, with no attention spared to detail, even to the back of the case!
The interior houses the original frames along with material inners; there is no glass to either side.
Locket snaps securely shut and has a good sized bail for wear on a chain.
In good antique condition; some minor surface wear to silver cartouches commensurate with age and use.
