Selling my own personal collection of Occupied Japan. this cup and saucer is a stunning example of some of the finest things they made. naturally the time frame is right after WWII up to about 1950. This cup and saucer are expertly painted and I am not sure if the pictures do them justice. Holding it in your hand you really see the fine details of the flowers and greenery. the gold around the rim has a little roughness to it but it is not chipped nor damage and that is the way it came to me. I personally have never used this cup so for over 45 years it has just been displayed in a china cabinet. The saucer is 5 5/8" across, the cup is 4 1/8" across, and thy stand 2 3/8" on the table. This is one example of japan porcelain you will not come by easily for, like many of these items, it was grabbed up years ago and has been in a collection like mine. Ask any questions.
