This is an original Stretch Glass plate. I know it is not a reproduction as I got it in 1964 when I started collecting Carnival Glass. Back then this was listed as "pastel Carnival", and that is why I bought it. I will put that in writing for you too.
It is 8 7/8" across and there is a pleasant unevenness to the plate only an original old piece would have. You will also notice the bottom of the plate with the well polished "pontil" mark in the center. Also I have pictured 2 "spots" on the rim of the plate. these are where, for some reason, there seem to be 2 minute shards of metal that are embedded into the glass. The rainbow colors in the glass is wonderful even though the pictures probably do not show that very well. I think this was made by the Century Glass company in the 1920's, but i know now this is actually Stretch Glass and NOT pastel carnival.
