This is a "Crummer" all made of wood. These were used on the tables after dinner to scrape the table cloths free of crumbs. It is Asian in manufacture and labelled Made in Japan. I am pretty sure this would have been from the 1920's era but for sure it is between the 2 world wars period as I am just not certain of an exact age. I have no idea what those figures or Japanese letters mean but they are all carved into the wood making it also very decorative. the size is 7 3/8" across, 7 1/8" tall to the top of the little handle, and the scraper is 9" long by 2" wide. The wood is thinly cut being only 1/2" at it's thickest. it is suprisingly light weight and a real novelty item.
