Antique table top picture frame. Frame is made of a bright gold gilt ormolu brass. Ormolu is an English term used since the 18th century for the gilt technique of applying finely ground, high carat gold mercury amalgam to an object of bronze and for other objects finished in this way. This is an oval frame with nice detailed design along the edge. There is glass. Wire easel on the backside. Measures 3 3/8" tall and 2 7/8" across. Photo image is 2 1/2" x 2". There is one small break in the frame as shown in the photos. No other damages. A few dings and bends along the sides, but not bad. There are flakes around the glass edges but not noticeable when placed in the frame. Very nice piece in lovely condition. No breaks or damage. Please look at all of the photos as they are part of the description. My home is smoke-free.
